Tropical storm Gustav doesn't seem as much a threat as was feared earlier this week. The markets took it well even as Gustav inched closer to hitting the Gulf and American shores. There have apparently been vast improvements in the oil rigs to handle a beating much more than 2005 and tropical storm Katrina.
Gas prices haven't risen. The price of oil has actually decreased significantly (gas is now under $4) since the oil lords discovered that Americans are just using less oil. Huh... they really needed to "raise" prices the last few years...sure.
The good news about the high oil prices we faced in the last couple of years is that people are actively looking to get off of foreign oil and fossil fuels. Even celebrities are getting on the band wagon and pushing to see who is more green than the other.
Solar, Wind, Biomass, Biofuel, Geothermal are all alternative sources of energy. New comer but not new in technology (existed since WWII days) gasification can be added to the list of possible green energy sources.
Gasification was a lost technology after WWII when foreign oil was so cheap we got lazy and abandoned the technology. Now, it is coming back in full force and starting to regain recognition. You are hearing about it first from us at InBusinessTV.com that gasification will help to usher in a future of people powered grids.
Individual people will make more energy than they consume and feed back the grid to cover other people who have not changed to alternative energy or making it. There is of course the great social portal on alternative energy and gasification www.VictoryGasworks.com that is showing individuals how to make their own energy at a fraction of the cost of other technologies.
Lower gas prices who cares? We need real solutions and independence if we are to be a strong nation. We need to be earth conscious in our buying habits as well to promote the further adoption and research into green energy and products.
